History
Originally built for the North Carolina State University Men’s Basketball team, the RBC Center experienced many modifications and price increases to accommodate hockey games when the Hartford Whalers moved down south and became the Carolina Hurricanes.

The Royal Bank of Canada recently bought Centura Bank, located in the southeastern US, and have partnered with the stadium to call it the RBC Center.

Opened in 1999, the 700,000-square foot arena is home to the Carolina Hurricanes, the NCSU Men’s Basketball team and many concerts. RBC Center attracts many fans and music enthusiasts to the southeast.
