History
The Delta Center in Salt Lake City is home
to the NBA’s Utah Jazz. Replacing the old Salt
Palace, the timeframe needed for constructing a
new arena was 30 months. Under the leadership
and private financing of Jazz owner Larry H.
Miller, Delta Center was completed in
approximately 16 months. The use of thousands of
workers and hundreds of subcontractors working
around the clock made the accelerated timeframe
possible.
Delta Air Lines paid to have the naming rights
for 20 years.
